Today I want to make a short review of an electric bike based on the WELT Fat Freedom fat bike.
It is a robust fat bike with wide 26 «x 4» tires on a 6061 aluminum frame and an entry-level Shimano Altus 8-speed rear derailleur.
The bike is equipped with reliable Shimano BR-M315 hydraulic disc brakes. Cassette: Shimano CS-HG20-8, 12-32T.
Comes with a comfortable footrest. By the way, fat bikes do not always have a footrest included, and finding a good option in a store is not so easy. So this is a plus for the manufacturer Welt.
Weight before electrification was 14.5 kg. Now he
The rear wheel is powered by a 1200W 2-stage gearbox motor that delivers decent torque at the start. The maximum speed of the e-bike is 50 km / h.
The controller, rated for 25 amps peak current, is attached to the seat tube. It houses a voltage converter for powering the USB connector from the main battery. You can connect a headlight to this socket, and, if necessary, recharge your phone.
A durable quick-detachable battery in a monolithic polycarbonate case with a capacity of 15 ampere-hours and a nominal voltage of 48 volts will allow you to drive 40 km on gas, and in assistant mode (assistance mode) up to 80 km. By the way, the battery is designed for use in winter.
Of course, if you knead snow, the mileage will be less, but this applies to absolutely all e-bikes.
The total weight of the electric bike is only 21 kg!
It is ideal for active skiing in any terrain, and at any time of the year.
It is noteworthy that now the bike itself is on sale at a discount, and the electric kit comes with a 10% winter discount. Thus, taking into account the assembly and manufacture of adapter rings, the electrical version turned out
And although the price will seem high to some, you simply will not find an alternative with such a power / weight ratio and of such quality.
So if you plan to buy a reliable, balanced and passable electric bike for the summer cycling season, I advise you to take a closer look at this option.
And if you are in Samara — look into
All bye and see you! There will be many more interesting things ahead!
